I will protect your new tattoo with a sterile dressing, keep this on for 2hours.

On removal of the dressing, gently wash the tattoo with cold/warm water, using a mild soap. Pat dry with a clean towel. Repeat 3 times a day until healed, this usually takes 7-10 days. 

During the healing process, do NOT rub the tattoo; pick or scratch the light scab formation, or re-dress the tattoo (except with a light bandage, to protect from hazards). 

Avoid sunbathing, swimming, saunas, dirt, oil, grease, paint, industrial cleaners, caustic substances, raw meats, creams, or ointments (Except Bepanthen ointment, lightly smeared, starting from the day after the tattoo).

It is most unusual for a tattoo not to heal quickly, as hygiene methods follow the reccomended procedures. Should your tattoo not heal to your entire satisfaction, consult your doctor immediately.
